Security and outside lights – what is it and why to install one?
They are special type of lights to install outside of your house. They has to be protected by ingress of water.
Most common reasons to install them are: security and... they just looks great when it is dark – and we all love great things!
When you install one make sure all the connections are solid and covers are close tight to avoid ingress of water or make sure you hire precise and solid electrician to do the work for you – remember water is patient and will get anywhere if you will leave a chance for that!
Security purpose is quiet common reason to install lights.
They are working usually on moving sensor – than when someone will walk next to your doors or in your garden, light will start working.
There is a high chance that will scare a potential thief and make his night shift more difficult.

How much does it cost to installa or replace outside/security light?
The cost of installing a new security light or replace existig one is around £150 (including material).
If it is only simple swap that obviously is less time consuming and cheaper, with new lights we need to supply new light fitting, and obviously number of lights increase price as well.
How long does it take to change or install outside light?
Change or install of outside/security light usually take up to 1h.
Motion and dusk sensor lights.
Lights equipped with known as a PIR (passive infrared sensor) and/or dusk sensor as well.
Nowdays sensors are part of light but you can buy them separately if your project require that.
We don't install switches for them usually (but obvious we can if client want) because PIR sensor is working as switch – it turn on light when someone is passing by.
The dusk sensor will make sure that light is not on during the day when it is bright – it working like extra switch, turn on during night.
They contain settings usually you can set: moving sensor sensitivity, range and dusk sensor sensitivity.
LED floodlights.
Most common choice if you want to fit light for security or just want to have some light on sensor when you walked out of house after dusk.
They easy to fit, very bright, LED not drain a lot of power and in most cases they have got build in PIR and dusk sensor. They are very handful if you don't want to do any damage inside house we can run cables outside of building and fit as many lights as our client need.
There is usually single light but there are versions with double light points as well.
Up/down – twin wall lights.
This is best choice to make your house look amazing after dusk.
They are lights only but we can fit them on switch or with PIR sensor as well to make them more practical.
They contains LED bulbs which allows to choose light colour between warm (yellow colour) and cool (white colour) .
Few of them in front of your home will attrack attention and create wow effect to every passerby.
